Keeping Pets Safe this Summer

Description: C:\Users\Ashley\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Word\IMG_0678.jpgHappy 4th of July to everyone!  With the coming holiday weekend, we would like to remind you to keep your pets safe.  Keep pets indoors and in a quiet room.  July 5th is the busiest day for shelters across the country because animals that get scared run away.  Make sure your pets have their collars, tags, and check that chip!!

Other issues we have seen recently have been with feet.  We have seen several swollen toes, broken toe nails, and cracked pads.  This weekend’s weather is going to be amazing….and hot!  Remember, if you wouldn’t walk bare foot, it’s too hot for your pet.  Check out the collage of some interesting feet we have seen recently.  Remember to check your pet’s feet and toe nails! We would be happy to do a nail trim to prevent long nails from breaking, catching, or wrapping around into the pad.

Read What Our Clients Say

  • "I found my favorite vet clinic! Dr. Frucci and his staff are so welcoming and loving toward me and my dogs, giving me lots of great advice, and always having my dogs' comfort as the priority. We are so lucky to have found City Park Animal Clinic!!!"
    -Diane H.
  • "We moved to Fort Collins and needed a new Veterinarian, because we lived nearby at the time we found Dr. Frank by chance. Our husky was in a critical stage and close to dying during the 2013 floods, Dr. Frank actually walked across a closed bridge to administer a shot to our sweet girl. We are so fortunate we found such a passionate Vet."
